Where to get tested for Covid in Nosara Costa Rica?

Where to get tested for Covid in Nosara might be the most common question recently asked by people traveling to Costa Rica.

As some countries, including the US, are now requiring a negative COVID test result to enter their country, we have made it easier for you at Olas Verdes.

Currently, the place to get a PCR COVID test in Nosara is Paradise Medical Service in Playa Guiones (Nosara), just a 5-minute walk from Olas Verdes Hotel. We are assisting all of our guests with this process.

Testing is by appointment (48 hours before the test date) at the medical facility. You will need to fill out an online form and provide your departing flight itinerary.

Travelers need to be tested no more than 72 hours (3 days) before their departing flight. The cost is $140 per person, and you can pay online  with a credit card. The medical center sends the samples to a laboratory in San Jose, and the results will be sent directly to your email address 48 to 60 hours after the test. Olas Verdes has been working together with Paradise Medical for guest testing, and to date, the results have always arrived on time.

If you have had COVID less than three months prior to re-entering your destination country, you do not need a PCR COVID test. However, you must present a medical certification verifying that you have had a positive Covid test result. If you had COVID more than three months before re-entering your destination country or have received the vaccine, you still need to present a negative PCR result before boarding the plane.

In the event of positive test results, you will not be permitted to board your flight, in which case, we will be happy to have you continue your stay at Olas Verdes! You will need to remain in your suite, but we will provide your in-room service at no extra charge and take care of your needs while recovering. The required insurance you bought before entering Costa Rica will reimburse you for lodging.

Here are the current requirements to enter Costa Rica.
